Registration Information
The Del Norte Nighthawk Youth Football and Cheer Association offers Football and Cheer programs for children ranging from 1st grade all the way through 8th grade. Our organization prides itself in the strong commitment to our youth and our community and we strive to deliver a positive experience for both players, participants and families involved in our programs.

Our coaches not only teach the necessary skills, tactics and details needed, but also instill in each player the confidence, drive and commitment that they can then apply to all things in life for a successful future.

Once preregistered, please be sure to print out all the required documents listed below on this page and bring them with you at time of registration.

All of San Diego Youth Football AYF teams will be moving to the following format.

Flag K-2nd 5,6,7 none *Cannot turn 8 before July. 31st
Mitey Mite 2nd-3rd-4th 7,8,9 none *Cannot turn 10 before Dec. 31st
Jr Pee Wee 5th 8,9,10,11 none *Cannot turn 12 before Dec. 31st
Pee Wee 6th 10,11,12 none *Cannot turn 13 before Dec. 31st
Jr Midget 7th 11,12,13 none *Cannot turn 14 before Dec. 31st
Midget 8th 12,13,14 none *Cannot turn 15 before Dec. 31st
  • Kids can play up from their grade, but not play down from their grade level. For example, a 7 year old 2nd grader can play in Mitey Mite with the 3rd and 4th graders.
  • Age is determined by their current age on or before 12/31 for Tackle and for Flag July 31
  • No Playoffs in the Flag Division
  • No 9th graders. However, should the school systems drop freshman football, then, and only then, will we consider adding a 9th grade division but they MUST play within their division.

Pre-register online HERE and then download and print the following documents and bring with you to registration.


The following documents are required by equipment distribution date (7/21/12) or your child will NOT be eligible to participate:
  • Report Card from final semester of 2011/2012 school year (1 copy). Only the most recent grade card from the ending school year will be accepted.
  • 2012 Physical (original + 2 copies, doctor stamped in 2012)

Where can I get a Physical?
Sports Physicals can be obtained at any PPH Expresscare Facilities. PPH expresscare are walk-in health centers operated by Palomar Pomerado Health (PPH) located within select Albertsons/Sav-On Pharmacy stores in North San Diego County.

$25 Sports physical exam --- No appointment necessary
Regular Hours * Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. * Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m * Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
PPH expresscare is closed Monday-Friday from 1:30-2:30 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30-2:00 PM
The last patients are accepted 30 minutes before closing time each evening.
