MISSION
It is the mission of the North County Youth Football, Del Norte Nighthawks to provide a safe and positive environment to teach the fundamentals of the sports of football and cheer.
In doing so, the Association and its members will instill in each participant the principles of dedication, hard work, community, honesty, scholastic achievement, teamwork and sportsmanship.
PURPOSE
The North County Youth Football & Cheer program was formed to achieve the following:
-Inspire youth in grades K-12, regardless of race, creed or national origin to practice the ideas of scholarship, sportsmanship and physical fitness
-Familiarize all players with the fundamentals of football or cheerleading
-Provide an opportunity to ALL of our community to participate in a supervised, organized and safety-oriented manner
-Keep the welfare of participants free from any adult ambition and personal glory.
Our programs teach children fundamental values, skills and knowledge that children will use throughout their lives.

Youth Partner of the NFL, AYF provides support services, scholarships, grants, "Giving Back" programs and tournaments to over 500,000 members. Founded in 1996, AYF pioneered age based divisions.
San Diego Youth Football & Cheer Conference has been a part of the San Diego community and youth sports for 55 years and counting. SDYFC is focused on growing gifted children, both academically and athletically through participation in their football & cheer programs supported by the Scholar Athletes program.

SAFE PLAYING ENVIRONMENT
-NCYFC demands that all members of the organization put player safety first ahead of all other motivation.
-NCYFC provides the latest football and cheer equipment with player safety in mind.
- Players, parents and guardians are provided ongoing instruction on the proper fitting and usage of issued equipment.
- Our football and cheer players are matched in an age/grade (K-12) based format which allows them to compete with their own peer group and avoid playing in an older but lighter (OBL) situation that can be dangerous.
- Our coaches are carefully selected and required to adhere to strict safety standards as set forth by American Youth Football and North County Youth Football & Cheer.
- NCYFC promotes the value of physical fitness by staying active and involved with youth sports.
